TEDxWassenaar TEDtalk: 'Children in Their Talents, a Basic Right' - Anneke Brouwer

Only four months ago, on September 10th, the first #TEDxWassenaar event ‘Find Your Voice’ took place.

Still grateful that today, exactly 4 months ago, in the midst of two Corona lockdowns, I was able to organize a wonderful event in an adapted form together with my team, the sponsors, all the speakers, the performers and the chairman of the day.

still look back on a wonderful livestream event organized in strange times.

Or, as Luk Dewulf just said: “This was a great example of teamwork and co-creation.”

What a wonderful and special day it was in these strange times!

Last month, on December 10th, I shared with you the TEDtalk of the 3rd speaker, my coachee Jacqui Brassey, PhD, MAfN, ‘Zoning In and Out of Stress’.

Today, still living in times of uncertainty and change due to COVID-19, I like to share the inspirational TED-talk of my coachee and fourth speaker: Luk Dewulf.

‘Children in Their Talents, a Basic Right’.

In his TED-talk Luk Dewulf will talk about the importance of talent.

“There is only talent when it is seen by others.”
“It is the basic right of each child to be seen IN their talent. We need to create educational environments that enable each child to be in their talent. And help people to give words to children for their talent when they are in their talent.”
“Imagine a world in which each child is seen in their talent. Finding a context to bring their talent in to action.
Not every child will become a star, but every child can shine.”

Luk created an international movement of talent whisperers who help children to discover their talents.
